Couldn’t have imagined six years after completing the study, Citizen Journalist to Activist: the Language Behind Black Lives Matter, on the then budding Black Lives Matters movement and the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, that I’d be living in the Nation’s Capitol experiencing DC protests. Racism is a global pandemic that has festered for centuries. With COVID, we’re now fighting two battles. BONUM, stands with the peaceful protesters exercising their first amendment right.
